The mayor of the city announced that the programs within the "Belgrade Winters" will begin on December 1st and it will be held every weekend at several locations in the center of the city, and the program will be held every day starting from December 15th.

If we look at the calendar, there is still time until New Year. But, if we take into consideration the weather, it is 16-17 degrees different from the temperatures we can expect when we wait for a New Year, but nevertheless, the capital has been shining this weekend like it is a New Year's Eve

The installation of New Year's decoration was started in early October. And there is nothing bad in it if we look at the colder and colder days and the wind that was preventing the workers to place the decoration.

Although we are not used to the capital shining at the beginning of November as if it is New Year's Eve, it is time to get used to it.

The numbers of tourists are increasing, as well as the profit, which is larger every year according to the mayor, then we shouldn't be surprised that the decoration has been turned much earlier, in comparison to the last year.

In this way, the mayor Sinisa Mali said that we will attract much more tourists than the last year and that it is why it's important to have a well decorated Belgrade.

If we remember the statistic data from the first 6 months of this year, the income from tourism in Belgrade was around 100 million euros larger than the first six months in the same period of the last year. The capital recorded around a million stays, which is a record result according to the tourism officials.

The most numerous guests of Belgrade in the first half of the year were Turks, while the largest number of overnight stays was recorded by Israelis. 55. 336, which is 649 percent more than last year. In addition to the Turks and Israelis, tourists from China also like Belgrade, Croats, Russians, Germans, Bosnians, Slovenians, Italians...

Belgrade is attracting the tourists with its spirit, rich cultural-historical heritage, and with the increasing nightlife.

Traditionally, we are an inevitable destination for neighbors in the region. Rarely any city lives 7 days a week in the neighborhood, and that offers incredible weekend.

So Belgrade has been interesting to Slovenians for decades, but also to Croats who have been spending New Year's Eve in Belgrade for several years now.

That is why the capital is preparing the incredible New Year's celebration, announces the major.

- This year, like the last one, we bought the decorations, and we will continue to do so in the future. We made 21 million euros from tourism during the New Year's holidays, and we expect an even larger profit, and we will invest it into tourism and more beautiful Belgrade - said the Mayor.

The mayor of the city announced that the programs within the "Belgrade Winters" will begin on December 1st and it will be held every weekend at several locations in the center of the city, and the program will be held every day starting from December 15th.

Decorations will be placed on 30 locations more than the last year.

The officials are still not announcing the precise program who will entertain us in the New Year's night. There will be most certainly some show for the children which will be organized in various Belgrade municipalities.

We asked people of Belgrade how do they see the perfect New Year's Eve.

- Good company is the most important, everything else is easy. Perhaps some home party with good food and music, and after midnight, the square or some good club. Everything depends on the mood - said Marija (27).

- I have been expecting the craziest night in some of the restaurants on Skadarlija. I have a good time there and I feel the real spirit of Belgrade - said the 42-year-old Jelena. She has a lot of friends and they are planning something similar this year as well.

- I like the New Year's evening in the open. My cousins from Slovenia are coming here, as a tradition, they never miss it, we have the best time in Belgrade - said Milan (20) from Belgrade and adds that he enjoys the traditional fireworks with good music.
