Krajinovic for Telegraf after the finals: Emotions took over, but he discovered the real reasons for the defeat!
Serbian tennis player couldn't sleep before the match of his career, there were too many emotions and he couldn't channel them in the right direction in the duel against Jack Sock
Filip Krajinovic was one step away from his dream and he lost his first Masters finals in his career. The American Jack Sock was better than him and he celebrated with 2:1.
- It was a hard match, and I almost couldn't sleep. Too many emotions, expectations... I shouldn't have lost the first game of the second set. My legs weren't listening to me, and that was an important precondition to be on the wanted level of aggression. Besides that, the service wasn't working as it should, I had to invest a lot of effort for points and my strength was visibly drained in the third set.
- There was a pressure of the moment ahead of the match, that is certain. All the events of the last week somehow "piled" before this match, and that took its tool in the finals - said Filip about the psychological image before the match.
- I can barely wait to get some sleep tomorrow, to relax, and I'll be much better. I have 2-3 weeks of rest, and I plan on using them in the right way, to prepare for the next season - Krajinovic summarised his current desired, he was visibly happy that he will be in his homeland in few hours, and we are anctiously waiting for him.
