Great alert in Croatia: 18,000 reservists received re-invite for a war schedule!

The calling of reservists began in September and will last until the end of the year, and will continue throughout the following year

The Croatian authorities have called an estimated of 18,000 reserve officers to select a total of 9,031 in total to complete the six infantry reserve regiments of the Armed Forces, the Croatian Ministry of Defense announced.

Croats gave up from their greeting "Ready for Homeland!"

From 18,000 called, about 12,000 responded. There is no data why the 6 thousand of them didn't respond to the call, reports "Jutarnji list".

The calling for reservists caused a great alert in Croatian public, but they are just going with their plans of completing the infantry reserve in the Ministry, and they plan on forming six infantry regiments in 2017.

The calling of reservists began in September and will last until the end of the year, and will continue throughout the following year.

When the calling of reservists started, many questions emerged from their sides as well, and from the sides of employers, and they have the rights, writes "Jutarnji".

The Croatian Association of Employers requested an answer from the Ministry of Defense, which states that each reservist is entitled to compensation for transport costs, retention of rights and duties from employment, and those who have the right to a pension or financial compensation due to temporary unemployment still have the right while executing military obligation.

Any sorted reservist who is called for training or an exercise and who has received a call must inform the employer that he will not be in the workplace during that period, about which he will receive a confirmation.
