Belgrade as one of the most beautiful world metropolises: Kalemegdan got a new lighting and now looks magnificent
This is just part of the project for illuminating public buildings in the capital
The Clock Tower, the Leopold Gate, the exterior of the Stambol Gate and the Clock Gate at Kalemegdan, received a new, decorative lighting, so the favorite location of Belgrade and tourists now looks completely different.
In addition to these parts of Kalemegdan, lighting will be given to all other gates and walls on Kalemegdan, announced by city urbanist Milutin Folic, who in the company of director of "Public lighting" Aleksandar Cincar Poposki attended the commissioning of new lamps.
- We will light up the parts that were completely dark until now, and in this way, this most important cultural and historical monument in Belgrade can be visited in any part of the day or night - said Folic.
According to him, this is only part of the project for illuminating public buildings in the capital.
- We recently illuminated the National Theater, and now the National Museum is next, as well as several facilities in the line of the Republic Square, Vasina Street, and Student Square.
The city urbanist adds that all buildings with recently renovated facades on Kosancicev Venac and in Karadjordjeva Street will also receive decorative lighting.
