The president of Football Association of Serbia Skavisa Kokeza revealed future plans

President of the Football Association of Serbia (FAS) Slavisa Kokeza announced the construction of the National Stadium of at least 50,000 seats when he gave a comprehensive interview for Telegraf.

Ivana is happy after the important decision from London and she thanked everyone!

The reason for such capacity is certainly the idea that Belgrade will be a candidate for the finals of the Champions league or the Europa League, which Kokeza now confirmed in his statement for Srpski Telegraf.

The first man of FAS revealed how the stadium could look like.

Something similar to the stadium Espanola could be expected, but with a slightly higher capacity and the number of seats. In this way, we could get the organization of large competitions like the finals of Champions League or the Europa league, where you have to fulfill certain standards - said Kokeza and added:

- I expect that people from UEFA will send project designers who have made stadiums across Europe in the next 15-20 days who will help us determine the location. The plan is to start construction in 2018 and for Serbia to get its National Stadium at the end of 2020.

While talking about location, Kokeza revealed one of the potential ones:

We are considering multiple locations. I can reveal only one. That is Makis field, a large area that is located after the overpass for Cukarica slope. However, UEFA project designers will determine the location that meets the standards.
