Athletes from London voted Ivana Spanovic for the winner: Serbian in the selected company for the future of the queen of sports!

Our athlete, with five more colleagues, won the most votes and will be a member of the IAAF Sports Commission, and her four-year term will begin on January 1, 2018

Although she did not win the medal in the long jump, Ivana Spanovic returned from London with a victory, but this time her colleagues contributed to this victory.

Ivana Spanovic: I don't feel bad about everything, I have said everything with my last jump and the gold will be mine eventually! (VIDEO)

During the World Championship, a vote was held for the selection of six members of the Sports Athletic Committee of the World Athletic Federation, and one of the fifteen candidates was Ivana Spanovic, who was nominated by the Athletic Association of Serbia.

Only the athletes who participated in the championship had the right to vote, and most votes besides Ivana went to Kim Collins, Iñaki Gómez, Adam Kszczot, Thomas Röhler and Benita Willis.

The newly elected members of the Committee will be in this position for four years, and their term of office begins on January 1, 2018.

The IAAF Sports Committee counts a total of 19 members, of which twelve are selected based on the votes of athletes (six members are elected every second championship and their mandate lasts for four years), and seven members are elected by representatives of the IAAF Council.

Ivana will thus be in the selected club of the athletic elite, who will work hard for the bright future of world athletics, including Yelena Isinbayeva, Paula Radcliffe, Stefan Olson, Andreas Thorkildsen...

Hopefully, Ivana's engagement will have effect on controversies which should not be repeated anymore on large competitions, like it was the case with her jump where she remained without gold medal, even though she jumped the most, but she lost the medal because of the alleged imprint of the paper which came off from her back.
