Bomb weighing one TON found in the Tara riverbed

The heaviest single unexploded ordnance found in the last 10 years

The officials of the Section for Unexploded ordinances of  The Emergencies Directorate found early this morning a warplane bomb from World War II in the Tara riverbed, weighing one ton.

The bomb was found on Matesevo, near the highway route, the Montenegrin Ministry of Internal affairs reported, according to RTCG.

- That is the heaviest single unexploded ordnance found in the last 10 years - said in the statement.

It is added that the bomb will be removed and destroyed according to the procedures.
