Slovenian president Borut Pahoir started his journey yesterday and he plans on walking the entire Slovenia in just one week, and the last station is Piran.

Pahor, and his small team, which includes his son Luka and two PR representatives, started with a good mood and with backpacks on their backs from Hodos near Hungarian border on Tuesday afternoon, and they intend on crossing 40 kilometers every day until they reach the sea.
They plan on getting to Piran till Monday because Pahor, as it was officially announced, has official duties on Tuesday. Pahor is using his vacation for sightseeing of the Slovenian land and to meet with people from whom he expects support in the upcoming presidential elections.
Pahor acknowledges that this is a pre-election campaign and that he will regularly publish photos from the road on social networks.

Pahor's mandate will end at the end of this year, and the new elections will be announced on Friday. Pahor is a favorite at the moment.
So far, only the first Slovenian president Milan Kucan managed to repeat five years of presidency twice, and he won in the first round both times.
