Jablanica firefighters and members of the Civil Protection had a rough night, and fire on Cvrsnica is still spreading to the top of the mountain, so the helicopter of BiH armed forces is expected to return to this location since the fires on Ljubinja site have been extinguished.

- Thick smoke is covering the fire ground, we are waiting for the wind to show us the real situation. As we can see so far, the fire is spreading to the top of the mountain, the forest is burning but the residential areas are not in danger - said Omer Neziric this morning from the Civil protection Jablanica.

Fire on Cvrsnica after two peaceful days has intensified with the growth of the temperature, and the fire spread to the site of Veliki Sljemen.

Help was requested from armed forces in extinguishing the fire from the air, as well as help from fire units of neighboring municipalities. Ljubinja fires have been put out, confirmed Miodrag Ilic, chief of Firefighters unit Ljubinja.

- A helicopter of Armed Forces took off this morning to scout and if they don't find any fires in our area, it will continue the flight towards Jablanica where the situation is very difficult. Luckily, everything is well here, people are calling us saying that everything is extinguished. There is an option that they could start again if wind started, and we remain careful - said Ilic.

Fahrudin Solak, director of Federal Civil Protection Administration, said that only fire on Cesnica is out of control in his area of responsibility, but there are active plans for today and tomorrow, to improve the situation on this site.

- Cutting of woods is planned to separate the fire from the part of the mountain not caught by fire. It will take five to six hours of walking on hard terrain, but we will try to realize that today. We have around 150 people on the field including firefighters - said Solak, stressing once again that it is a steep terrain where putting out of the fire with a helicopter doesn't have much effect, reports Sarajevo portal Kliks.

All fires in Ljubinja area have been extinguished, confirmed the commander of the Firefighters unit Ljubinja, Miodrag Ilic, reports RTRS.

The helicopter of BiH Armed Forces has been putting out the fire in this area since Monday evening, and he has the last flyover this morning in 8:15.

In a five day fire of great proportions, never before seen not even by the oldest residents of the municipality, thousands of hectares of forests and low vegetation, objects, cattle and around 40 utility pools have burned down.

Property of family Skoric was destroyed the most, whose barn with small and large cattle burned with additional objects storing 500 haystacks.

The insufficiently equipped firefighters from Ljubinja fought against the fire for days, workers of the municipal administration, locals, and firefighters from Trebinje, Gacka, and Nevesinja came to aid. The government of Republika Srpska sent help, and the cities of Banja Luka, Prijedor, and Bijeljina.
