The media in Greece named Danica fam fatal because according to the portals in this country, the incident and the fight where American was brutally beaten to death were started because of her, writes Blic.
It was expected that she will put some light on the circumstances of the case with her testimony, but her two statements, which she gave to Greek police in the presence of translator, don't match.
In the first statement, given immediately after Henderson's death, Danica claimed that she did not remember or could not recognize those who participated in the tragedy. However, in the second supplementary statement, she spoke about the selfie she made in the company of the Americans, whose names she doesn't remember.
This act caused the anger of Serbian citizens who were at the same bar and allegedly sent racist comments to the dark skinned young man in her company. After that, Serb has slapped the American and he hit him with a beer bottle to the head, Danica said.
According to her claims, she went out of the club with three Americans. She soon saw that the American is running and that few guys are chasing him.
- I saw a young man on the street who was previously with me. He was without consciousness and the blood was flowing from his eyes. One American was standing beside him trying to help him. I wish to add that I didn't see the fight - said Danica to Greek police.
Five Serbian citizens are in custody for beating Bakari Henderson to death, while two were released and they returned home after paying bail of 5.000 euros. Besides them, there are one British and one Greek citizen, workers of the bar where the incident occurred. Three suspects, younger adults, were put in prison for minors near Athens. The trial of those charged will be in Partas, writes Blic.
