This is the first arrival of the Croatian president in Belgrade, and the second in Serbia since taking office in February 2015.
Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic welcomed Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic at the Belgrade airport today who will attend the ceremony marking the inauguration of President Aleksandar Vucic.
Grabar Kitarovic arrived by Croatian government plane, and was greeted with state honor, with red carpet and stand guard.
This is the first arrival of the Croatian president in Belgrade, and the second in Serbia since taking office in February 2015.
Otherwise, when she met Tomislav Nikolic, former President of Serbia in Zagreb at the Brdo-Brioni summit, which was the meeting of the presidents of the former SFRY and Albania, and their three kisses "according to Serbian tradition," were called "a real little show".
The Ambassador of Croatia to Serbia, Gordan Markotic, welcomed her at the airport "Nikola Tesla".
Before the ceremony, the Croatian president will have a bilateral meeting with Serbian President Vucic.
In other words, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who has been in talks with officials of the states and governments who came to Belgrade this morning to attend the ceremony on his inauguration, has found time to visit a large number of journalists who follow these bilateral meetings, and to make a joke.
With a smile, in a pause between the meetings, he greeted the journalists and told him "no one from the media should go to wait Belarus, all should go to wait Kolinda".
However, they did not have to wait a long time - the Croatian president will meet with Vucic during the afternoon.
