More than 200 firefighters managed to keep the fire away from hotels

Tourists from three hotels in Tucepi , as well as the residents from the eastern part of this place in Makarska Riviera were evacuated last night because of the new fire that broke out in Gornji Tucepi.

Hotels "Jadran", "Neptun" and "Tamaris" have been evacuated, and more than 200 firefighters managed to keep the fire away from hotels.

The fire broke out around 2:30 in Gornji Tucepi and it threatened local residential objects, reported by Croatian media.

Fire was spreading in morning hours carried by wind from the Tucep towards Makarska, and it is estimated in the Voluntary Firefighters Association Tucepi that there will be difficulties with the fire during the day.

All available firefighters are on the field and they are fighting with the flames, and the fire is burning from Biokovo to the sea. 

The traffic is closed towards Adriatic highway, and towards Vrgorac.

No one was hurt from the firefighters and locals in the struggle with the fire.
