Serbian holy site burned: Place where offerings were placed for decades disappeared in the blink of an eye

Lightning strike burned the shrine in Sarani on the hill Ocic

Writings on the centuries old oak on a section of Corridor 11 in Takovo region, built and put into operation from Ljig to Preljina, as part of the future highway Belgrade - South Adriatic, is being demolished by thunders, writes Vecernje Novosti.

The saddest love story in Serbia: Zlata's male died, and then Zlatan appeared and did something terrible!

After the famous writings near Savinac, and the long media, ecological and state battle for its life, which was demolished with chainsaws, lightnings burned two more oaks in this section.

Locals are in fear.

- Until the lightning strike, this oak writings, according to our ancestors, around 350 and 400 years old, had a lavish green foliage. Just like the one my grandpa Stevan remembered, who was born in 1887, and died in 1974, and the locals of other countries, all of us and our children. Offerings were places there, but never blood sacrifices, only milk - said local Vojislav.

People are desperate for the oak on the hill Ocic, who was cut this winter for firewood.
