Oxford is giving 5 scholarships, and Serbian geniuses got three! Katarina, Vuk and Milena are our greatest pride!
Prestigious college awards only five scholarships to the students outside European Union per year. Three have been given to our young people.
Katarina Petrovic (18), Vuk Radovic (19) and Milena Vuletic (19), all from the Mathematical High School, are still out of themselves because of the excitements when they found out that they are among the five best from the countries outside European Union from the field of physics and mathematics. They will be among the five elected students outside EU on the famous Oxford University this fall.
They will have a great opportunity to specialize in the selected area or doctrine in the next four years with the science they want to do in the future.
- I applied for Oxford on 15 October last year, on a day of my birthday. I was skeptic that i will get a scholarship because they only give it to the countries that come from the EU - said Katarina.
- However, when i passed the entrance exam, on the interview in the rooms of Oxford, i started believing that i may have the chance ti get in - she adds.

And then, in the middle of April, her dreams are coming true. She was told that she was accepted to Oxford with scholarship.
- That is amazing, i am overjoyed they accepted me. My birthday brought me luck, and that is the day i will start going to college - Katarina is very happy.
Vuk Radovic (19) during his schooling in Mathematics High School, won various medals on competitions and Olympiads from physics, astronomy and astrophysics. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, he will join Katarina and Milena on their trip to England in October.
VUK RADOVIC
- I signed for three years of basic studies, plus one year of master studies in physics. When they called me i could not believe i got in. Only few days before my friend was notified that she got the scholarship, so i gave up knowing that they give only five scholarships per year. However, not only that i got the scholarship, it was the three of us and all from Mathematics High School - this young man is very happy.
Another super child from Mathematics High School Milena Vuletic (19), who was among the 14 students who will go to Oxford from October, studying Mathematics with Statistics.
MILENA VULETIC
- I believed that i will go to Oxford from the beginning because i did a very good entrance exam. However, i wasn't sure i will get the scholarship. When they finally told me, i could't be more happy - said Milena.
