What REALLY lies behind the intention of Albanians to set Balkans on FIRE, and it is not annexation of Kosovo to Albania

Thaci and Rama are additionally "Balkanizing" The Balkans at a time when Brussels has no idea what to do with this part of Europe, on the post-conflict area, where each spoken word can be the spark that would ignite a powder keg

Sharp statements directed against Serbia and Serbian people came from Tirana and Pristina in just few hours. Albanian PM Edi Rama said that he can't exclude the union of his country and Kosovo if the perspective of the countries in the region to enter EU continues to fade, while Kosovo president Hashim Thaci threatened with the lawsuit against Serbia for genocide. These statements were followed by series of attacks on Serbs on Kosovo and MetohijaEven though this might be a signal that Albanians are trying to accomplish their centuries old plan of "Great Albania", those more informed say that even more sinister intentions are behind these actions.

The European Union has finally responded on the scandalous statement of Edi Rama

Scandalous statements of Edi Rama and Hashim Thaci are on the radar of Serbian Public. On the post-conflict area, where each spoken word can be the spark that would ignite a powder keg, which is often a synonim for this part of Europe.

The condemnations coming from EU and NATO are enough to see how dangerous these statements are.

However, if we forget for a moment the inter-ethnic animosity and look at the opportunities that govern in Pristina and Tirana, the picture will be clearer to us.

There are often speculations about possible early parliamentary electionsThe reasons cited are the beginning of work of the Special Court for War Crimes of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the inability of the Kosovo Assembly to adopt an agreement on the demarcation of the border with Montenegro.

- Hashim Thaci has a total blockade of government and the blockade is the result of blockage of the Brussels agreement, lack of coordination with the government and strong opposition, that it is more present in the street, it received significant public support. In such a situation, he is now trying to play the card of "Self-Determination" - Dusan Janjic, director of Forum for Ethnic Relations, warns Telegraf.rs.

Janjic says that Thaci now sympathizes with Ramush Haradinaj, which should buy him the support of Haradinaj voters, as well as more frequent stories of cooperation with Albania in response to the crisis the EU.

- This is the matrix we see with Edi Rama as well. Rama is threatened by the strong onslaught of the opposition in Tirana, Democratic party before the parliamentary elections. Democrats are attacking him for domestic policy and he therefore tries to take the nationalistic votes from red-black coalition - said Janjic.

Janic defines these two models of behavior with a term - safety engineering, which politicians do before the elections or when they are not doing so good.

- However, the problem with safety engineering is that politicians can't control all people. It affects general mood of the people, it can bring victory at the elections, but it creates massive expectations and fear with people - pointed Janjic.

This situation is not good at all, said Janjic, because Thaci and Rama are additionally "Balkanizing" The Balkans at a time when Brussels has no idea what to do with this part of Europe.

- Their election victories can easily lead to strengthening of extremism, streets and seizure of power by those who abuse nationalism - concluded the director of the Forum for Ethnic Relations.
