She has announced before the final that she will "jump way over seven meters" - and our queen has succeeded in that! Bravo!

The best Serbian athlete Ivana Spanovic won the gold medal in front of her audience at the European Indoor Championships!

The entire arena was with our Queen, who has brilliantly jumped 7.24 meters in the third series with and defended her title in Prague.

When you look at the other results, you will see that no one could do anything to Ivana today - British Lorraine Eugene was second with a score of 6.97 meters and a German Claudia Salman Rath third with 6.94.

Our champion has stepped over the line in the first series. But it looks like that was only the warm up for the fantastic 7.16 m jump, which was the fifth best score in European championships, and sixth on World Championships - ever.

And then, the THIRD series followed!

She started with confidence, jumped perfectly, and then few minutes of suspense - the entire Arena fell into trans because Spanovic jumped 7.24. which is only 13 centimeters less than the world record, set by German Heike Drechsler with 7:37 meters which was set up on 13 February 1988. 

Ivana could not do anything but cry for her brilliant result...

In the fourth series is our champion jumped 7.17, and then she stepped over in the fifth, and in the final series she jumped 6.73 m.

Brilliant Ivana has announced a big success in qualifying round already, when she had already jumped from the first attempt 7.03.
