Spooky scenes in Bosnia: The lake dried up, graves emerged, human remains, houses and mosque (PHOTO) (VIDEO)
Located along the river Ramu, with its left bank, on a gentle plateau, it seems so dead today, so monotonous and lifeless as it is located in the desert
The bad hydrological conditions and increased electricity production, have led to the Rama lake at the lowest level in recent years. Seen with the eye of the beholder, now submerged valley of Upper Rama seem so dead, so unreal and lifeless, as if looking at a desert landscape. Only the view of the surrounding gentle Rama villages and family farms would refresh the view in the eye of the beholder.
Lake in Bosnia disappeared in front of people's eyes (VIDEO)
Starting from the town of Brus towards the former village called Luke, the first step you take on the sunken, lifeless soil, not exudes nothing but slack, and in which there is nothing but beaten traces of human feet and car tires.
And now in those Luke for the first time you see traces of former paved road, that took you toward the next place - that was the island Skarine at full accumulation. And really, by that road you can see the remains of former orchards, cemeteries, human remains and homes.
When you come to Skarine your view goes to the peaceful valley filled with the remains of human traces of life. And yes, it was once tame, at another time, during a simple human life, to the time before the Apocalypse from the deluge.
That place was called Kopcici, the place of Ramah bey, the place that tells you it was "a place of pleasant living". Located along the river Ramu, with its left bank, on a gentle plateau, it seems so dead today, so monotonous and lifeless as it is located in the desert.
On the road, while view goes to the dead valley, you enter lifeless, dried and dead remains of Kopcic. Place where once life flourished, it gave birth, growth, lived and died. Place where pride and sorrow intertwined, where, even dead, the human lives are palpable, work and love towards nativity.
The first data on Kopcic as a settlement go back several hundred years, the time in the 15th and 16th centuries.
Maybe this place is called the Bey's because in the time before the acumulation of Ramsko Lake (1968) it had standards not tipical to the villages of this area, with the content specific for larger settlements, there were pubs, mills, inns, roads paved with cobblestones...
Visible traces of the remains of pottery, bricks, nails, locks, and perhaps most emotional, the remains of human shoes, dishes...
With the same road you enter in the remains of the wide cemetery, which is located at the bottom of the settlement. Those silent remains of human resting places, are surrounded with remains of destroyed mosques. Mosque and cemeteries are settled on the most flattest, most tame part of Kopcic.
Destroyed mosque, minaret, headstones, human homes, unprotected monuments of a time, tradition and religion.
Desert created by the flood saw the light of the day. It surfaced from the depths of the blue Rama lake, to return us to some different times, to reveal some other Rama, its former villages, peaceful valleys and plateaus, awakened the imagination of one time and one country, one of the heavenly valley, placed on the natural border which separates Bosnia from Herzegovina.
