As a reward, the bravest are getting a diploma, as a sign they accepted the treatment and they went through the rough period.
- I thought about the way to reward them, their courage, and i came to the idea to make this as easier as possible for them - said at the time Dr Dragomir Djokic, pediatric hematologist in the Institute for mother and child.
Doctor Djokic together with other colleagues is trying to ease the difficult moments of the young patients with malignant diseases on a daily basis.
Courage of children at the expense of carefree childhood should be rewarded, and the oncology department doctors note that their small actions help more than you think.
Every child who has not obtained a diploma tolerates any intervention easier hoping that they will get a diploma as well.
Malignant diseases in Serbia has affected 334 children up to 19 years, and the most common forms of cancer are leukemia, brain tumors and lymphoma, according to the Institute for Public Health ahead of the February 15, the International Day of children with malignant diseases.
Serbia does not help children suffering from cancer only on February 15. They need help every day, and every donation prolongs their life.
