The tenants of in the Jurij Gagarin street number 275 received today a recognition of the Director of the Public Communal Company "City Apartment", Nikola Kovacivic, for the best looking entrance in Belgrade. Next to the recognition, they will get security surveillance and LED lightning so the building can be fully functional. Besides that, thanks to the pure willpower, without any investments, they even have a television in the elevator.

This year they had a bit stronger competition than the past six, because 50 buildings applied for the concurs.

- We watched if their entrance is in order, the way hygiene is dealt with in the building, how the elevator looks like, if they installed LED lightning, is the security on high level and we give points on every criteria. The building is beautiful and the neighbors really did their best to earn this recognition. With this they improve their living conditions and their relationships - emphasizes first man of "City Apartments".

ONLY DAILY NEWS ARE MISSING IN ELEVATOR

The Chairman of the house committee Ranko Marjanovic prof Dr Ranko Marijanovic, who has been three and a half years in position, reveals that when he first came to function, the tenants decided to work on the main entrance of the building. Then one operator was interested in putting an antenna on their building, which secured the buying of expensive elevators with LCD TVs from Greece.

In the meanwhile they issued common rooms on the corner of the building and used the money for the benefit of the building. Consent can be easily achieved when out of 95 flats in residential buildings, 99 percent give support. There is also Council that decides if Marijanovic is not there.

- Residents do not pay anything, nor will they pay as long as I am president of the house committee. There is no need, because everything operator pays monthly, we immediately switch it to the elevators. Renting the store gives us money for the cleaner, bookkeeper,"Green-Belgrade" ... - reveals the chairman.

The resident Tereza Burkic (86) was present on the commemoration, and the neighbors call her "the minister of flowers". She takes care of the flowers inside and outside of the building, and in the office of the Assembly of tenants, in addition to colorful flowers and there are large number of pictures that she painted, and it looks more like a gallery.

- She loves flowers more than her homeland - claims her husband Antonije (88).

Antonije added that the building was looked "creepy" 12 years ago and was not even close to what it is today.

- Now everybody admire where we live and how much we work, they can't thank praise us enough when they come visiting - reveals Antonije Burkic.
