BAD WEATHER STRUCK WEST SERBIA: Households flooded in Kosjeric and Pozega

Heavy rainfall caused by strong bad weather that struck few counties of western Serbia on Thursday night, caused most damage in Kosjeric and Pozega

The Kosjeric municipality president Miljan Stojanic, said last night that several households were flooded.

Water penetrated the houses, cellars, streets are filled with water. Firefighters are pumping the water from the basements. Roads have been damaged in almost every village in the Kosjeric municipality - said Stojanic.

Kosjeric sad suffered for several months now from bad weather, and because of that, in some places, the emergency situation is still active.

Last Wednesday, few villages of Kosjeric were hit by bad weather followed by heavy rain, hail and strong wind.

Heavy ran fell in the Pozega municipality. In the place Duskovci, 88 liters of rain per square meter fell for about an hour.

Thunderstorm also hit Uzice.
