Students from Serbia best in region in electrical engineering
20 universities from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participated in this competition.
College of Electrical Engineering from Belgrade has taken the convincing victory in the regional competition of students of electrical engineering and computing - "Electriad".
Serbian students came up with a wonderful way to give support to Brussels and unite the region
20 universities from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participated in this competition this year.
The deen of ETF Zoran Jovanovic said that is a traditional competition, that started in former Yugoslavia, and the students of all republics competed in the areas of engineering and computing.
The competition was held up till today and the colleges from former republics, mostly from Serbia and Croatia still compete.
- ETF has won this year in the knowledge competition in nine out of 13 disciplines, and it has became a tradition. In sports we were second, but when we combine knowledge and sports, we are first again - said Jovanovic.
He said that the ETF represents some kind of bastion of knowledge in the region and that since 2002 to 2016 they lost only once in that regional competition.
- There are lots of colleges in Serbia and outside of it that are recognised in the world, but we manage to win thanks to our smart children, and we, as professors, have our own contribution - said Jovanovic.
The competition was held in 13 dispilines in knowledne and 10 in sport. and the Belgrade ETF has wotn in knowledge with easy, while the second and the third place was taken by Colleg for electrical engineering and computing form Zagreb and Electric engineering college of the University from Sarajevo.
