Kenyans took first two places on 29th Belgrade marathon, third place belonged to the Hungarian

Kenyan athlete Abel Kibet Rop triumphed on 29th Belgrade marathon, while the winner in female competition was Stela Barsosio from Kenya. 

Rop finished the race in two hours and 24 minutes, in front of his countrymen Mozes Kiprut Kiber (2:28:50) and the third Tamaš Nađ from Hungary (2:36:20).

- I am happy for the win, this is my second participation on the marathon, and my first win. The weather condition were very difficult because of the high temperature - said Rop for Tanjug after the race.

Barsosio has won with the time 2:43:41, second was her fellow countrymen Helen Kimutaji 2:49:03, and the third was American Tanja Ivandic 3:17:29.
