These charges are the ones Vujosevic and Covic filed against one another.
Private charges were dropped, but the one filed from the side of clubs was not. Vujosevic's lawyer Ilija Drazic claims that his client did not know about this and reveals that they had requested that the judge gets excused from the case.
The judge did not accept the request for the hearing to be postponed because Vujosevic is currently working in France.
- It is important to state that there are no clear points for the arrest and this is contrary to the law. If the accused does not show on the hearing, the only consequence can be setting of the first trial hearing, not the arrest. This is the way how the law functions - stated Drazic for "Kurir" news agency.
Vujosevic is disappointed in the whole situation.
- What can I say, the prosecution office is being used for harassing the citizens and mobbing. I had trust in the judicial organs, and then you face something like this. I was not the one who beat up the reporter, so thats why the police cannot arrest me - added Vujosevic.
- All the people know about our fight. And it is also known that I am right. When Covic filed his lawsuit, I consulted with my lawyer and made a counter-lawsuit. Later, these charges were dropped, but the lawsuit from the club remained. I did not know about that lawsuit. It is practically the same like the previous one. The only things I said about Red Star were the ones actual in the media and for which I thought that public should be aware of. They are accusing me of ruining their image and that I destroyed their credit rate, but back then their bank account was already blocked - added Vujosevic.
