These extraordinary artists cut small pieces of wood, shape them and make a mosaic-painting.

This is an authentic 3-D object which can be placed on the wall.

The technique is called relief marquetry, and they are the only ones who do this in Serbia.

- Every painting is unique, and even if my brother and me try to make another one on the same motive, they will never be the same. We take different wood species because the color is specified by it. We cut it with small, school saws. We glue the small pieces of wood on media pan and thus form the whole work. The painting is actually a mosaic full of different wood patterns and it reminds  of wood-cut by its form. Every type of wood has its own color. Nut gives black, plum red, pear brown, aspen white, acacia green, poplar and pine yellow. Those are the only colors on the paintings - explains Bojan, the older brother in this team.

In the village Lomnica near the city of Krusevac they have their own shop "Milosavljevic brothers".

Hand made wood painting is their basic job, and so in 2013 they got approval from the Department of Industry to put the mark - an open hand - to prove that the products are hand made.

Apart from paintings, they make different kinds of souvenirs, candle sticks, mirrors, wine holders...

The paintings are their favorite. They claim that they enjoy making them.

For 6 years, when they started this job, they have made more than 100; depending on the frame, it takes up to 20 days to make one.

- One painting, the crest of the Serbian Orthodox church we gave to our bishop David. We make them in different dimensions, the smallest cost about 10 Euros, and the biggest go up to 500 Euros. people from abroad ask for them, and we often get their wishes. The rest is to choose the colors, types of wood and material - said Bojan and Boban.

Their stand is an attraction wherever they show up, which was the case on the Wine fair in the city of Paracin.

For that occasion they had classic and steep wine holders and 3D paintings with grapes motives.

These unorthodox artists are engineers by profession.

Bojan is the engineer of telecommunication, and Bojan of energetics.

They started this job because they could not find occupation in their own fields.

Now, they would not change it for the world.
