In an interview for Njuzvuk news agency he revealed that his material situation has never been worse because his only income is pension of 150 Euro.
- I live like a dog - he said openly, because, apart from the name, he inherited nothing from his late grandfather, because the court verdict left the relatives of Tito without anything.
- I live like I have to. I do not turn on the heat in the apartment, I use public transport. People treat me, offer me lunch; I do not need 5 meals a day, one is more than enough.
- My pension is 150 Euro per month, my daughter is 10 years old, I pay child support and 25 Euro for her French lessons. My wife ruined me, she spent the money, sold the car, took all the things, I was left out on the street. She accused me of violence, so the police took away the weapons from my grandfather. After that, someone took the watch and the ring I got from Tito.
Joška Broz says that the camp on the Goli otok was made for "social upbringing" and what happened there never reached Tito in Belgrade.
- There was no television, no radio, no phones... He found out about it only after Aleksandar Ranković had gone there and told him what was going on. That was an absurd which should not have happened.
- Dragoljub Mićunović, one of the leaders of Democratic party said that he was there, but he does not say that he was not a prisoner, but an associate of the party.
According to Joška, Tito's wife knew all about him, and the stories about her are pure lies.
- She did not want the piece of power. She would just state what the people said, and that is why she had to be removed. Her memoirs are real, but I do not know where they are. If it was published, the real truth would come to the light.
