Taking place in Zalec, central Slovenia, the public beer fountain project is expected to cost $400,000 and will offer tourists (and locals) three glasses of Slovenian beer in a commemorative mug.
The town is home to only 5,000 people so they better be ready for an influx of tourists!
The city government says the project will be funded in part by taxpayers and the remainder by private donations.
- It’s true the fountain won’t be cheap, but it’s a development project, a tourism product - said Zalec mayor Janko Kos for the Dnevnik news website.
