Refugee mystery in Montenegro: He claims he has got confidential information, a fake passport, and that he is being followed by ISIS and Al-Qaeda

During the investigation contradictory information surfaced that the person was originally from Turkey and that his name in the passport was not his real one

A man from Syria, Ali Ilhan Ismail (55), according to "Dnevne novine" news agency from Podgorica, Montenegro, who was arrested last summer at the Tivat airport because it was proven that he carried a fake passport, requested protection and the refugee status.

Engineer by education, this Syrian man is allegedly still unknown to the authorities, who are trying to establish his real identity.

The newest check-ups are being taken through Turkish embassy in the city of Podgorica.

The judge Momirka Marović requested this with the intention of establishing his real identity.

Judge Marović informed Ismail yesterday that she had received the response from the embassy in which it was stated that all his documents should be delivered to the embassy for further investigation.

Ismail said earlier on that he has information important for the state of Montenegro of ISIS members allegedly planning to kidnap some Montenegrin residents and that their plan was to take him as ransom.

His identity is still being checked through Interpol, but with no further results.

During official investigation there were some contradictory information that he was originally from Turkey and that he was using a fake name, and it was found out that he used to change his pictures in his IDs.

However, Ali Ilhan Ismail says that he has an explanation for the whole situation, and he claims that he is being watched by ISIS and Al-Qaeda who allegedly killed his whole family.

It is a mystery how he even managed to reach Montenegro with fake documents.
