- I just finished my conversation with the Prime minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, and he informed me that our resident Srđan Babić, who used to work for an Austrian company in Libya and was accused of doing certain contraband things, is now free - said Vučić.
According to him, Babić left Tripoli and now resides on Maltese territory, in La Valletta.
Vučić expressed his gratitude to the Prime minister of Malta, a true friend of Serbia, their Foreign office, Serbian Intelligence office, and our English and American friends.
Prime minister also stated that Serbia will continue working with intelligence offices around the world, and also about the 2 more Serbian residents in Libya, and he expressed his belief that there will be positive results on that field too.
- It is not always easy, I do not want to talk about the reasons in this moment. Maybe it is even better for me not to speak about the reasons Babić was detained, but what is important for his family is that he is now at the capital of city of Malta and that he is definitely coming back to Belgrade and his home - concluded Vučić.
According to B92 news agency, Babić used to work in Tripoli as an expert for an Austrian company Argus, which dealt with securing diplomatic and industrial missions in Libya.
He was arrested on March 30, along with a resident from Austria and two residents of Jordan due to the investigation about Argus company.
Vučić said earlier today that the 2 kidnapped Serbian residents in Libya are alive and that the people of Serbia can expect new information about this case tomorrow.
- You will get a good information tomorrow. These information are very important - said Vučić.
