"A number of facts show that the remaining Serbs in Croatia are second-class citizens, as they are discriminated by the state authorities and judicial bodies," the statement reads.
Linta pointed out there is no real political will to make it possible for the Serbs to restore their tenancy rights, farmland and “old" foreign currency savings, get their overdue pensions and compensation for destroyed property, or to punish the perpetrators of crimes against Serb civilians and prisoners.
Also, it is necessary to punish those who call for violence and spread hate speech against the Serbs, adopt a law that would regulate the status and compensation for all civilian victims of the war, and respect the constitutional law on the rights of national minorities when it comes to hiring Serbs in the public sector and the use of the Cyrillic alphabet and Serbian language in social and public life, he stressed..
