"There were black uniforms in one of the bags, a letter believed to be written in Arabic, and two Kalashnikovs (AK-47s), while it is suspected that the second bag contains explosives and ammunition," a source who was at the scene told the Albanian language website Indeksonline.
Those arrested near the lake include Besnik Latifi, Enis Latifi, Milazim Hadzijaj, Gazmend Haliti and Fehmi Musa.
The five men are suspected of planning to contaminate the lake which supplies a great part of Pristina, Gracanica and the surrounding villages with water.
