HE SURVIVED AUSCHWITZ AND THE MARCH OF DEATH: The fate of the fearless Aca Singer (92) will leave you speechless! (PHOTO) (VIDEO)
And after everything he survived in his life, this aged Jew does not look at people by nationality, already exclusively by character. About the very Auschwitz and in the Second World War he learned about thanks to the Germans, and his service life he finished, believe it or not - right in Germany!
The only Jew in this region who survived the notorious death camp, is still alive, and what he says about the war and the camp he precisely learned from the Germans themselves.
DE PUTA MADRE: This is the most incredible man who has ever set foot in Belgrade!
This elderly man, received us in his warm home. Despite the fact that only a month before our interview he had a myocardium infarction, he agreed to talk to Telegraf. What he survived in his life, can not be fully described in words. When taking into account his age and the kind of Golgotha he passed, anyone can do nothing other than express the deepest respect.
Aca Singer told us about his fate, he does not remember exactly all the years, but he told us what he remembers. And what he told us, will surely leave you breathless after reading his "confession."

- I was in prison in Hungary, so I transferred to the camp, and then on April 28, handed over to the Germans. The first train arrived on May 2nd in Auschwitz. Almost everyone there were Jews, and a few Hungarian politicians and Serbs. In the Hungarian camp were Serbs and Jews, but the Germans in Auschwitz conducted exclusively Jews - says Aca who does not like to tell stories about other people's memories, but only of his own.
- I'm a unique case. I was in Auschwitz three times. For the first time as a prisoner, another time when the 50th year was celebrated, and the third when the 60th anniversary was celebrated. However, despite the fact that they asked me to be present on the 70th anniversary (it was in January this year), God wanted it to be different, and it is good I survived this year.

According to Aca, many times he could read something he has not said. That's how many said upon his arrival at Auschwitz that he talked with German soldiers, which is not true. In fact, a statement came that said that who can not go 15 kilometers on foot and is ill, to call. Some of them did so. There was a lawyer from Backa Topola whom Singer knew from before. Although he praised the Germans because he thought that they provide transportation as opposed to the Hungarians who were forced out from the camp to the other, it turns out that the truth is completely different.
- We thought that the Germans would take us to work in Auschwitz. It was almost the end of the war, we felt that they do not have enough people. What's worse, we all believed it. At that time no one knew anything about Auschwitz and the one who says they did, is lying, because if I, who was politically active had no idea about Auschwitz, then how could someone else? - Asked this elderly grandpa.
When they arrived at Birkenau where the inscription "Work liberates" was hung, they were even more convinced that they were brought there for work. However, one Aca's first memories were really creepy. Namely, when a young man asked when they will be able to see his sick father, the soldiers received a shocking reply: "Your father already left, through the chimney!"
- It was the scariest thing I've heard. We all felt some stench and burning, but we did not know what it was - says Aca and adds:
- However, what is important to say, when we arrived in Auschwitz, they took our information (name, age, occupation). On the round hanging canvas we got a number under which they wrote us in, but some went for a tattoo, because it goes slower, I circumstantially, was not tattooed. That did, as it turns out, helped me where I am today here. Even today I do not know the exact number of victims because only those who were taken to the crematorium were marked.
He says many have testified that the bathroom was located beneath the crematorium, which Singer categorically denies. The crematorium was located away from the bathroom. There were several of these objects, and Singer bathed in one, had his hair cut and got a pinstripe suit, while in the other, they released gas. These people, who suffocated, were later taken to the crematorium.
- I am aware that I can not remember all the things because I was under terrible stress in Auschwitz. However, what you need to know is that in Germany there were three camps. Auschwitz was a combined camp and the embodiment of evil. According to some estimates, the total number killed was about 1.5 million Jews, but we will never know the exact number because they are not well documented. Then there was the classic German concentration camp in which Hitler's opponents were taken (communists, social democrats and Jews) but there was no crematorium nor gas. Third were those of complete destruction. All the Jews from Macedonia were taken to him, some were immediately killed upon arrival, while others managed to sleep one night - recalls Singer.
However, there was another situation where Aca was lucky to escape death once again.
- Close to one camp where we were, they made barracks for soldiers and guards. They were looking for artisans and my brothers volunteered themselves. They said they were painters. One day they told me to go over there, which I did, but when the chief saw that I did not know how to paint, I was returned to the camp. Then we called the commander, a German, and asked each person whether they were by profession what they reported, and if that someone admitted, they would get a slap on the face and would be taken somewhere. Seeing what was happening, when I asked if I was not, but that I was an assistant and that I carried buckets in which lime was. I only got a couple of slaps, but they left me.All the others were taken, never to be seen again.
Russian-Serbian conference in Belgrade: Day of victory over Hitler's civilization heritage!
As if all this misery was not enough, hell ensued when the Russians broke through the east of Germany, in part of the country where there was this death camp. German soldiers did not want to surrender their prisoners in the hands of Russia, they were transferred to the camp Flosenburg. They were afraid that they would tell the prisoners what Golgotha they had gone through in the camp.
- When we came to Flosenburg, they separated the tattooed from the otehrs, and a new registration occured. There, I was a little clever, so I said my name is Aleksandar Simic, but I gave all my real data and said that I was by profession a Tailor. After that, the tattooed Jews were taken from the camp, no one knows where, and we, other Serbs, Croats, Ukrainians and all other anti-Semites stayed there. One day began the evacuation of the entire camp. It started with the " March of death". We did not know where the Germans were taking us, because the Americans were importunited, abnd they forced us not to fall into their hands. Those who could not walk, were taken away in a ditch and killed. I understood it at the time, so I used all my strength - he said.
However, even then he stared death in the eye and managed to save his life.
- At one point, a German soldier pushed me and I fell into a ditch. He stumbled and swore in Hungarian: "Mother f*cker!" And I answered in the same language: "Do not let God punish you when we are already at the end of the war." He was confused at the moment because I was wearing a label with Serb. He asked me if I was from Backa, and I said yes, I am. He asked if I was from Sombor, and I, even though I was not, I said that I am. At that moment the feeling I felt was one of the scariest in my life. I'm laying in the ditch, and he is standing above me with a gun pointed at me. You see, had he not sworn in Hungarian, I would be dead now. I tell him: 'Good man, turn it around, "and he did, he gave me a hand and pulled me out of the ditch. He commanded two Ukrainians to carry me, and Ukrainians like Ukrainians, they did the next 100 meters. From all the people I met, those people were the worst - says Aca Singer, adding:
- One of the most beautiful scenes in his life quickly ensued. American tanks came arund and soldiers were throwing boxes with food. However, even then, plenty died beucase they ate too much after not eating for days, I just took a little bit of chocolate. Then, those same soldiers took us to the hospital, where we came to. Then, I had another problem. I was supposed to get papers, given that some knew me as Singer and others as Simic, in the end, I was Aleksandar Simic Singer. Later I had some minor problems in Belgrade, but was quickly resolved.
However, fate once again stirred its way into Aca Singer's life, only this time it was not in a negative sense. When the situation after the second great war subsided, he founded Ljubljanska banka, later, he wanted to make a branch office in Pristina, but asked that one of the executive positions be filled by an Albanian, that Serbs categorically refused. Although he thought it was better to have friends than enemies, no one wanted anyone that was not a Serb in that position.
- Where do you think I finished my working life? In Germany! I was the director of an Austrian bank - with a smile Aca said, adding that he had the highest school with his father and mother, where he began to work at 14 and learned about bookkeeeping and economy.
Now, after everything, he does not believe that Auschwitz should be a tourist destination, which it has become. The first time he returned to the death camp after the liberation, the first thing he thought of was his grandfather who was 92 years old when he was killed there, and his little cousin who also died there, and he was only five years old.
- Well, that's the Holocaust, if you really want to know! - said Aca Singer at the end.
