The Commission for naming streets and squares of Belgrade, adopted a decision on Friday on the proposal of the Ministry of labor, employment, social and veterans' issues, rather Minister Aleksandar Vulin, the decision to build a monument in Belgrade of Gavrilo Princip.
- A committee has been formed to raise a monument headed by Minister Aleksandar Vulin whose members are Goran Vesic, Nikola Nikodijević, Jasmina Mitrovic Maric and Vladan Vukosavljevic. These proposals will be on the agenda of the Belgrade City Council tomorrow - said Vesic.

He added that the initiative to build a monument was initiated by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and that is word of a monument to the height of two meters and a weight of 350 kilograms, a gift from Republika Srpska to its originator and Belgrade.
- The Board will convene immediately after the session of the City on Monday and make all the decisions for setting up the monument. We expect that the monument will be set up and unveiled on June 28th, and the monument will be transported to Belgrade within the next ten days - said Vesic.
- Belgrade will raise a worthy monument to pay homage to the man who with his act became part of Serbian history and who sacrificed himself for freedom. We are grateful to the government of the Republic of Serbia on this initiative and the Government of the Republika Srpska for their gift to Belgrade and our people - said Vesic.
