Munter: Serbia's success is U.S. success as well

Cameron Munter, CEO of the EastWest Institute with the seat in New York and former U.S. ambassador, stated that Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received the best possible piece of advice in Washington embodied in further implementation of economic reforms aimed at creating a stronger Serbia as a partner for the U.S. business scene

I hope that the U.S. voiced the message that Serbia's success is also a success for the U.S. and that the economic reforms which are being implemented in Serbia are good for the people of Serbia as they make room for investments and trade and also open the possibility for global business partners to take part in Serbia's development, Munter said in an interview for Tanjug. Everyone wants to see economic reforms which will lead to a stronger Serbia which would be a partner for the U.S. business scene, he said.

Comparing Serbia from the year of 2007 when he was appointed as the ambassador and Serbia nowadays, Munter said that eight years ago, there was a question as to whether the Serbia would turn to the future or would remain stuck in the past. Now, in the year of 2015, Serbia is committed to its future in Europe and EU membership, Munter said.
