Hoyer: EIB is ready to expand activities in Serbia

President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Werner Hoyer pointed out that this institution is willing to expand cooperation in Serbia.

We are very active in Serbia and ready to expand our activities there, Hoyer told Tanjug on the sidelines of the Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe in Portoroz, Slovenia.

It is crucial that we have economically sustainable and implementable projects. If criteria regarding a number of factors are met, from social issues to environmental standards, there is a chance of expanding cooperation with Serbia, he said.

In the scope of the Portoroz meeting, Hoyer spoke about Jean-Claude Juncker's plan for revival of the European economy and possible effects on the Western Balkans.
