Lukarski: Regional cooperation very important

I am convinced that in today's bilateral talks, entrepreneurs will arrive at concrete agreements, Lukarski said, addressing participants of the Serbia-Bulgaria Business Forum held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Both countries should make the most of geographical proximity, good political relations, similarity of languages to strengthen the economic and business cooperation. There are prospects for cooperation in the fields of electronics, machine building, logistics, agriculture, tourism and healthcare, he added.

In recent years, Bulgarian investments in Serbia have totaled EUR 140 million, and Serbia is the fifth country, when it comes to exports to the Bulgarian market, and the seventh according to the number of tourists visiting Bulgaria, Lukarski said.

The Serbia-Bulgaria Business Forum is being held as part of the second regular meeting of the Serbia-Bulgaria intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation.
