What did KSS, Partizan and Red Star ask for from the Euroleague in the letter that they sent out?
The Basketball Federation of Serbia among other things seeks that the Euroleague mediate and respond regarding the organization of the new regional league
We relay you the letter in its entirety:
- Dear Sir, at the meeting held on May 22, 2015, which was attended by representatives of the Basketball Federation of Serbia and four clubs; participants of the Regional League, it was agreed to contact you for the organization of a meeting in Belgrade. The previous meeting in this format was held in Belgrade in June 2009.
BC PARTIZAN: We will not fuse with Mega, because they are Red Star's partner!
At this meeting we achieved concrete agreements to which all participants signed their consent - both Serbian presidents of clubs and associations, and representatives of the Euroleague and the ABA league.
Unfortunately, the majority of the agreement was not actually carried out in practice.
We believe that we are now in a situation where we have an exceptional opportunity to reach an agreement on the organization and functioning of the Regional League, which would be the guarantor of its performance in the future.
Bearing in mind that the impact of the regional development of basketball across the region is large, we are confident that such an agreement has given a strong contribution to strengthening the regional league and therefore basketball in former Yugoslavia.

We invite you to be as punctual as possible, in accordance with your obligations and plans, and meet with us in Belgrade and through constructive dialogue achieve a solution that we can all accept and assist in the application of the same - said in a statement by the KSS.
