The "Mother calls upon the Fatherland" statue in Volgograd in Russia was made in memory of the Battle of Stalingrad. They were made by a prominent Russian sculptor and  artist of Serbian origin Jevgenjij Vucetic and architect Nikolai Nikitin.

It was declared the highest statue in the world in 1967 and the last non-religious statue, which was declared the tallest.

The most famous works of Jevgenjij Vucetic are the sculpture of "Mother calls upon the Fatherland" in Kyiv, a height of 63 meters, as well as the world's tallest sculpture "Mother Fatherland" in Volgograd, built from 1959 to 1967, at a height of 87 meters.

In addition to these sculptures, he left great works in Berlin, New York, Paris, and throughout the former Soviet Union.
