Thirty-day detention for thirty members of terrorist group

Thirty captured terrorists who clashed with Macedonia's security forces in Kumanovo during the weekend have been placed in detention for up to 30 days, the Basic Court in Skopje released

The terrorists include 18 citizens of Kosovo, two citizens of Macedonia with temporary residence in Kosovo, nine citizens of Macedonia and one Albanian citizen with residence in Germany.

Most of them admitted they entered Macedonia illegally.

A total of 23 persons are suspected of having committed criminal acts of a terrorist threat directed against the constitutional order and security, associating for hostile activity and illegal manufacture, possession and trade of weapons and explosive substances (fragmentation explosives).

The remaining seven are kept in detention for reasonable suspicion that they committed criminal acts of a terrorist threat directed against the constitutional order and security, and associating for hostile activity, reads the statement.
