Open competition: In the Park of friendship there will be a monument to the victims of the conflicts during the nineties

Open competition for the artistic, architectural and urban design of the monument "Serbian people and Serbian citizens who has died for their country in the armed conflicts during the nineties in the former Yugoslavia", was announced today by the Belgrade City Council

The monument “Serbian people and Serbian citizens who have died for their country in the armed conflicts during the nineties in the former Yugoslavia” will be placed where the “Eternal Flame” in the Park of friendship in Usce is positioned.

The aim of the competition is the conceptual and visual design of the monument and preliminary architectural and urban design of the monument area.

The decision to construct a monument was made by the City Council on 25 February 2015. The selection board will, as stated, select three design solutions that will be awarded 600,000, 400,000 and 200,000 dinars.

Proposals should be brought to the Museum of Yugoslav History from 3-5 July, from 10 to 13 o’clock. The deadline for publications of the results is 1 August.

Within 15 days after the publication of the competition results, the exhibition of all submitted proposals will be organized.
