A rift in the SOC: Priests accuse Bishop of embezzling $3 million in candles!
The Diocesan Council of Bishop Martyr seek dismissal of all members of the Synod, while priests of his diocese accuse him of financially snubbing the diocese of three million dollars
Priests from Canada fear that their Diocese could withdraw from the unity of the Serbian Orthodox Church!
Pentecost in this Diocese has stirred havoc by the arrival of the commission formed by the Holy Synod, with the task of examining material and financial operations.
The Commission resided in Canada from March 30th to April 2nd, in addition to interviews with Bishop Georgi, they talked with 18 priests and more than 150 civilians from across Canada.
The priests of the Diocese, in a letter to the media, accused the Bishop Martyr of desecrating the diocese for three million dollars, forcing them to buy candles for years from a company owned by his godfather.
The other side, however, of the diocesan council of the Canadian diocese sent the Holy Assembly's request to dismiss all members of the Synod, in addition to presiding patriarch Irenaeus.

For now, the SOC, as well as the commission that was in Canada, do not wish to comment on these articles, or in connection with the work and its report, which has already been submitted to the Synod.
Unofficially, the request of the Diocesan Council has arrived in the Synod, which is expected to be discussed on Tuesday regarding the report on the situation in the Canadian Diocese.
In the meantime, on internet sites, numerous letters of believers and clergy are going around which support Bishop Martyr, while others harshly accuse him of financial mismanagement.
The final word on this issue will be given by the Holy Assembly which meets in May.
