Ljajic: We want provincial elections in December!

Leader of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia (SDPS) Rasim Ljajic stated that his party, a member of the ruling coalition, requests that provincial elections be held in December, since this would be the only solution to a serious political crisis in Vojvodina.

At a meeting of the SDPS's Srem district committee, also attended by Vice-President of the Serbian Progressive Party Igor Mirovic and President of the Movement of Socialists Aleksandar Vulin, Ljajic said that his party is launching a campaign for the upcoming provincial and local elections with a lot of optimism.

The ruling majority in Vojvodina consists of the Democratic Party, the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina and the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, all of which are opposition in the Serbian parliament.
