Port on Danube to be build in co-op with Chinese company

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Founder of China Environmental Energy Holdings Billy Ngok signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between Serbia and the company at the Serbian government building, the relevant ministry released
The memorandum signed on Thursday envisages joint work on the project of building and using the port near the Mihajlo Pupin Bridge, on the left bank of the Danube River, starting from joint feasibility study for the project.

In case the study turns out to be positive, the two sides will discuss ways to further cooperate on the project: design, construction, equipping and use of the port, including the funding model.
The memorandum is part of joint activities of companies from the two countries on the announced realization of China's interest in cooperation in the so-called economic zone of the land part of the Silk Road.
