BE CAUTIOUS: Counterfeit dinar bills are all over, here's how to recognize them!
Most counterfeits that have been found are of 2.000, 1.000 and 500 dinar denominations
In the first three months of 2015, after an expert inspection of suspicious banknotes, 1, 552 counterfeit dinar banknotes have been found, which is twice the amount than that in the same period last year.
Most counterfeit bills were found among the 2.000, 1.000 and 500 dinar denominations. According to the NBS, out of the million original dinar banknotes in circulation, 5,8 are counterfeit.

-People are not cautious, mainly in large retail chains and at gas pumps. Citizens are in a rush and hurriedly pick up the counterfeit banknote, behind whose placement stands a very well organized chain.
Unfortunately, at first glance, these counterfeit banknotes do not differ greatly from the real ones. Although this is not a new occurrence, the NBS has sent out a serious final warning because the number of such banknotes has doubled - explains Carolina Herbut, President of the Association of currency exchange.

How to recognize counterfeit dinar banknotes?
1) The creased inscription of the NBS sign on a legitimate bill is felt under your fingertips, unlike the counterfeit one
2) The hologram "pours" out on the real bank note, on the counterfeit one it does not
3) In the daylight, the counterfeit bank note has a darker color
4. The counterfeit bill is of much cheaper paper quality
