Besides pit bulls, other dog breeds are also used to participate in these bloody dogfights.
They are mainly Caucasian shepherds, Staffords, Pit bull Terriers and Rottweilers, in addition to fights being held for sheepdogs; including Caucasian shepherds and Sheppard dogs, however this type of fight is less vindictive and called "the test of character". Ticket prices depend on the capabilities of the dogs and the nature of the fights. Premiums for betting are from a few hundred euros, but bets for the "top dogs" are organized, where bets go over € 100,000 per match. These are the so-called VIP fights, and only few can attend these matches.
