Bosančić for Telegraf: I was ejected for non-football reasons

A Red Star midfielder believes that he has the quality to be a leader of the current Red Star team, but somebody does not allow that

He came to Red Star to be a leader, the “heart and the soul” of the team of Nenad Lalatović, but in the spring part of the season, Miloš Bosančić– “is nowhere to be found”. For a player who is undoubtedly the greatest connoisseur of football in the current generation of Red Star, there is no place in the starting line-up since the beginning of the second half of the season! At five matches Bosančić was ejected from two of them (Radnički and Spartak), while in the remaining three, he got the chance at the end of the matches.

Why is Miloš Bosančić currently in second place with Lalatović, who provides an opportunity for experienced Saša Stojanović and young Mihajlo Ristić, we asked a former Partizan junior.

– I don’t know… – Bosančić said at the beginning of the interview for our portal.

– Honestly, I don’t know why it is like that. I avoid talking about it. I really don’t know what is going on. I went through the entire preparation, I am ready, in my best years, and I was expecting this to be my season, but it is obvious that my opinion does not correspond with someone who makes decisions here.

Have you spoken to Lalatović?

– No, I haven’t, and I don’t want to – said Bosančić and added: – I came to Red Star and it was not easy for me, but I managed to overcome all that. I settled down, and got to play on the team. What happened in the meantime, I don’t know. My opinion is that I should be a leader of the team and I stand by my words! But someone obviously doesn’t share my opinion. It is not easy, because this has nothing to do with football, and there are some other reasons why I was ejected.

Regardless of his current status, the Red Star midfielder doesn’t give up and says:

– After rain, comes sunshine that is how I see it, that’s life. I believe that the situation will change and that in the rest of the season I will get more space. I don’t want to disturb the atmosphere in the club because we had a good start. Just two points away from Partizan and I want to give my full contribution to being on top whether I play matches or sit in the stands. I am a professional and I will behave like one.
