THE BLOODLINE DIES WITH ME says William Terbo, proudly claiming he is the only living relative of Nikola Tesla's (VIDEO)

- My mother used to complain a lot those days, saying my father was neglecting her 'cause all the work. Tesla told my father that both women and inventions are a "full-time job" and that it is impossible for a man to have both - says William Terbo, the only living relative of the famous scientist

William Terbo (85) the only living relative of Tesla is to promote a documentary film by Joseph Sikorski "People's Tower" in Belgrade. The documentary is about his famous ancestor and is scheduled to premiere on April 6 at the Sava Center.

DISGRACE! Citizens of Serbia appalled by the fact Milica Rakic's tombstone, victim of NATO bombing, gets torn down!

- In my early childhood, Nikola Tesla was just my paternal uncle. We were all aware of his reputation and achievements, but we never talked about them during our family dinners. Sometimes my father recounted their conversations, but for us he was just Nikola. When seated at the table we only spoke of personal, family matters, never work - told Terbo to the Serbian paper, "Evening News."

Tesla's oldest sister Angeline's grandson proudly pointed out that he is 1/4 blood relative to the Serbian scientist:

- I am the only heir of the famous lineage and probably the last man alive who met with the scientist. When I die, the bloodline dies too!

This is why Terbo (prim.prev.sr. Trbojević) feels his duty is to preserve, point out and promote the name and legacy of Tesla's even further.

Always speaking of Tesla fondly, this time too William began the story in these words:

This is how his last encounter with his late grandfather looked like when with his mother they visited him in “New Yorker” hotel.

- I remember my mother dressing up to go out in the then-famous Radio City Theater, and when we went out of the hotel she told me we were first going to visit my father's uncle. I expected nothing more than a handshake, so I was caught by surprise when Tesla hugged and kissed me. We stayed with him for about half an hour - told the Terbo remembering some stories of his father Nikola Trbojević about Tesla.

- As an experienced engineer, my father claimed worldwide recognition for the invention of hypoid gear. In correspondence with Tesla he would often talk about construction works and family matters.

- My mother used to complain a lot those days, saying my father was neglecting her 'cause all the work. Tesla told my father that both women and inventions are a "full-time job" and that it is impossible for a man to have both - says William Terbo, the only living relative of the famous scientist.
