Vucic: They are using Seselj to punish us!
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic noted that Seselj is being used whenever ICTY is not satisfied with Serbia's actions, its refusal to introduce sanctions instantly and its wish to be a friend to everyone and conduct a sovereign policy
- Any decision we adopt, and none of them will be as amoral as the political decisions of the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY), will be aimed at one single end, that is preservation of stability in Serbia - commented Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on the ICTY's decision to return leader of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Vojislav Seselj back to prison.
- It seems that someone, somewhere, drew a wrong conclusion that Vojislav Seselj is a factor that can shake me and the government of Serbia, Vucic said in an opinion piece published in the Tuesday edition of the Belgrade-based daily Politika.
He noted that Seselj is being used whenever ICTY is not satisfied with Serbia's actions, its refusal to introduce sanctions instantly and its wish to be a friend to everyone and conduct a sovereign policy.
Vucic underscored that this is just a case of erroneous attempts to punish the Serbian government and its policy.
The prime minister noted that in case someone believes him to be an obstacle to Serbia's EU path and its relations with the world, all they need to do is make it clear instead of using cheap tricks.
