Bodies of Serbian workers killed in Siberia arrive in Serbia

An aricraft from Moscow carrying the bodies of 6 Serbian construction workers who died in a fire at a construction site on Siberia's Yamal peninsula in early February landed in Belgrade on Wednesday

The fire broke out in the construction site's sleeping quarters during the night.

- The bodies are finally back in Serbia and will be turned over to their families and buried in the next two days. Everything seemingly took a long time, but one should keep in mind that the identification could not be done in the regular way, but through DNA analysis - Secretary General of the Foreign Minsitry Veljko Odalovic told reporters after the plane landed.

The procedure was completed in coordination with the Russian Federation Prosecutor's Office, he noted.

- We will get the answers concerning the investigation and causes of the fire from the Russian authorities and we expect that to happen as quickly as possible - he stated.
