No Serbian citizens have been kidnapped in Sirte, Serbian Ambassador to Libya Oliver Potezica has told Tanjug.
"We have verified all information and we established that, according to the information that we have gathered, no Serbian citizens have been kidnapped in Sirte," Potezica said following a CNN report that a group of 20 medical professionals allegedly kidnapped from a local hospital by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant also includes Serbian citizens.

Potezica added that there were a total of nine Serbian citizens in Sirte until late Monday, and that a doctor and a nurse have meanwhile been transferred to Tripoli by their hospitals.
The others have indicated no intention to leave Sirte, but remained in the city to work there, and the embassy has had contact with all of them, Potezica said.
