WANT TO LIVE 100 YEARS? This wise man from Serbia showed us how!
Common thing to all people in the world is that they had boring childhoods, then they hurried to grow up while wanting to stay kids. They spend their health to earn money and then they spend money to regain health. They live as if they'll never die and then die as if they have never lived, said Lazar Preljic (89) from Golija
We constantly chase the money, forgetting about our loved ones, people around us that mean so much to us. We have lost sight of what's important and give too much attention to trivial things, mostly material stuff. This Serbian wise man reminded us of what the true values are.
His name is Lazar preljic from Golija mountain and he is 89 years old.
When we asked him what is the common denominator to all the people in the world he responded:
Common thing to all people in the world is that they had boring childhoods, then they hurried to grow up while wanting to stay kids. They spend their health to earn money and then they spend money to regain health. They live as if they'll never die and then die as if they have never lived.
Then he addressed the young people:
- They should learn that they can never force anyone to love them. That the most valuable trait is who they are, not what they own. They should never compare themselves with the others. They should learn that the richest man is not the one that has the most but needs the least. That they learn how it takes only seconds to hurt the loved one but it takes years to redeem the hurt. Thy should understand that there are people who love them tenderly although they cannot express or show it. They should know that a lot can be bought with the money, but not happiness. That two people can look at the same thing but see it differently. That the true friend is the one who knows all your faults, but loves you nevertheless - said old Lazar.
Will we stop for a second and think about these words? Will we start paying attention to the world around us?
